Options for licensing
Licensing with pCon.login
You can license the pCon.update DataClient via pCon.login. To obtain this license, please contact your pCon partner: https://login.pcon-solutions.com/contact.
To use the license, it must be available in pCon.login and assigned to the respective users. No further steps are required. If you log in to pCon.update DataClient with your pCon.login data, you will automatically receive the license. You can read more about logging in here.
Please note: If you use the pCon.login licensing, the license-dependent functions (e.g. automatic installation) are only available if you are logged in.
Licensing with the conventional licensing system
If you have been using your DataClient for some time (before May 2025), it might still be using the conventional licensing system. In this case, either a license key must be activated with the EGR-LicenseClient or a dongle must be provided in the local network. These licenses continue to work as usual. It is possible that the conventional licensing methods will be replaced by pCon.login in the future, after prior notice. If you would like to exchange your existing licenses for pCon.login licenses, please contact your pCon partner: https://login.pcon-solutions.com/contact.
Note: To check which license system you are using and which license is available to you, click on the help icon in the top right corner of the DataClient. In the menu that opens, click License info.
